If you've trained at the SEPW Academy then you've probably heard me say, 'invest in yourself and others will invest in you'. I was taught this in my formative years and it has stuck with me. Investment in yourself doesn't have to mean an investment in money, although this is important, but an investment in time & energy to improve at your chosen subject.
Today I invested in my future as a full-time wrestling coach by starting a Level 2 Fitness Instructor course at the Kent Sports Academy in Ashford. My motivation for doing this is to be the best at what I do and to give my students the greatest possible start. I aim to have a deeper understanding of how the body works and up to date practices of how to train specific body parts to benefit aspiring professional wrestlers.
I really enjoyed my first day, it was good to be back in the classroom, and I'm looking forward to gaining my level 2 and progressing on to the level 3 qualification in April.
